I am a clinician with Amy Fantalis & Associates in a practice offering individual, family, and group counseling for adolescents and young adults.
I have worked with adolescents and their families for over 30 years and I continue to be passionate about working with young people and helping to support them with their emotional, behavioral, and social development. I am often in awe of the strengths and talents young people possess and assisting them in their growth is a rewarding privilege
I maintain a very direct and honest approach and find these qualities appreciated within the therapeutic relationship. I believe in treating the whole person in the full context of his or her life which includes interpersonal relationships, family systems, and the community. Supporting a young person through the many struggles and difficulties of adolescence is paramount towards the goal of healthy independence.
I earned a BS in Community and Family Services from the University of Delaware, and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. I also earned certification in secondary guidance counseling from Villanova University. I have worked at the Juvenile Court in Delaware County as a probation officer and as the counselor for an alternative high school for at-risk students.
I am originally a Jersey girl but have called Pennsylvania home for over 30 years. I have two sons in their 20’s and three spoiled cats.
