Nick herrick, lmft
Nick Herrick is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is operating in private practice and currently accepting new clients. He has been providing family therapy to clients in the Delaware County area since 2009. As a graduate of the Philadelphia Child and Family Therapy Training Center and former clinician with Child Guidance Resource Centers Family First department, he has developed extensive experience working with couples and families that struggle with intense mental health issues, and addressing the relationship problems that can stem from them. He specializes in treating adolescents who present with explosive anger and oppositional behavior, training parents to recognize and effectively respond to symptoms of anxiety and depression in their children, and helping adults co-parent effectively following separation or divorce.
His therapeutic approach combines a focus on developing self-awareness and insight with an action oriented style that provides frequent opportunities to practice the skills necessary to improve one's relational and mental health. As a strengths based therapist, he empowers clients to discover and tap into their own network of inner resources to overcome whatever obstacles to growth and emotional health they might encounter. In his practice he has worked with clients struggling with ADHD, Bi-polar and mood disorders, suicidal thoughts and self-harming behaviors, and disorders stemming from depression and anxiety.
