Danielle Almquist, MSW, LCSW
I am a psychotherapist who specializes in working with children and adolescents and their families. Many of the children I see have been identified as struggling with anxiety, attention, hyperactivity, defiance, self-esteem, depression, and trauma. I also work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, difficulties in relationship, addiction, and the challenges of parenthood. Through various modalities, including play therapy, mindfulness, meditation, and the use of guided imagery, my focus in therapy is to help individuals and families recognize their own inner strengths, channel them creatively and productively, and develop bonds that promote a personal sense of competence and development.
I graduated from Rutgers University with a Masters degree in Social Work. My career started working with patients and survivors of cancer at the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson as well as working with the elderly trying to access services at the Elderly Law Project of Philadelphia. Since that time I have worked with a wide range of populations, in recent years focusing on children within the school system, to assist children and families to recognize their full potential as the School Based Counselor for the elementary schools in the Boyertown Area School District. In addition to my private practice work at Building Bridges (PA) and Starting Point (NJ), I work as an Addictions and Mental Health Therapist at STABLE Community Services. I welcome your inquiries by phone or email and I am happy to assist you in anyway I can. Feel free to leave me a message.
