I have been a psychologist for 25 years practicing psychotherapy primarily with children and their families. My preference is always to see children with their families and even if I can't, I can only understand them in the context of their families. Each child is different and the challenge for parents and other caregivers is to understand the child and help the child to accept who he or she is, making the most of their abilities and limits. The problems that clients bring to me range from anxiety and depression, school behavior and learning issues, to major behavioral problems and life crises.

I see a good number of people of all ages who have experienced life-changing trauma, such as divorce, loss, and abuse. I also enjoy helping parents learn to continue parenting cooperatively after separation and divorce. My passion is helping children and families to learn to recover from the effects of child sexual abuse.

For years I worked in area non-profit agencies in the Philadelphia area. I have worked in community mental health, foster care, and schools.

I am a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania and a licensed mental health counselor in the state of New York. I have a Master's Degree in Clinical and School Psychology from Adelphi University. I am a Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress.

In addition to my practice of psychotherapy at Building Bridges, I am presently clinical director of Family Support Line, an agency committed to the treatment and prevention of child sexual abuse. I provide training to mental health professionals through Family Support Line and Widener University in the treatment of child sexual abuse survivors.

I welcome phone calls inquiring as to my availability and ability to work with you. I do not participate in any insurance plans as an in-network provider. My fee is reasonable. If you have a plan that allows for out-of-network coverage, I do supply the paperwork which enables you to collect reimbursement from your insurance.
