John Brendler, ACSW. LMFT, is an approved AAMFT supervisor and conducts supervision groups for practitioners working with children/adolescents, families and couples. The focus is on developing the practitioner's use of self in working with families and couples. The supervisory process includes teaching tapes of therapy and consultations, live consultations with families and couples, didactic materials, and the participants' presentations of their own clinical work through discussion and /or videotapes. The groups meet for 20 sessions, starting in September and ending the following June. Each group comprises approximately 7 people, representing diverse disciplines and therapeutic settings, including outpatient mental health clinics, home-based services, private practice, inpatient, residential/day treatment facilities, schools, and medical practices. |
