Cynthia Young is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice in Media, Pennsylvania at Media Child and Family Associates, LLC. Cynthia has over 16 years of experience as a therapist, most recently with the Family First program: an intensive, home-based, family therapy program for Child Guidance Resource Centers. There she has worked both as a clinician working with families and a supervisor of family therapists. During her time with Family First, she completed the Philadelphia Child and Family Therapy Training Center’s three-year in-home family therapy course. Additionally, Cynthia has worked as an outpatient therapist and a behavior specialist consultant.
Cynthia treats families, couples and individuals, with particular interest in struggles relating to anxiety and depression, isolating and self-injurious behaviors, family conflict, relationship distress, divorce and co-parenting, and life transitions.
Cynthia carefully designs treatment within a relational framework, drawing on the unique and sacred nature of each of her clients. In therapy sessions, you will enter a warm and accepting refuge, where emotional safety and deep acceptance will be found.
While Cynthia does not participate in any insurance plans as an in-network provider, at your request documentation will be provided to submit to your insurance company.
